Professional Qualifications

I am an Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I trained as an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor.  I have knowledge and experience in four different theoretical models and approaches, enabling me to work with your individual needs and issues that are unique to you.  Working therapeutically with a humanistic approach ensures I work in a process devoid of any religious influences or pre-disposed beliefs.

I work according to the code and ethics of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).  As a member of BACP I am bound by its ethical framework for good practise in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the professional conduct procedure therein.

As an Accredited Counsellor, I am a registered member of the UKRC ;

                                 United Kingdom Register for Independent Counsellors

Accreditation and registration is a stringent qualification requiring evidence of extensive training and experience over a number of years supported by written work and references.

Professional Experience

I have wide ranging experience and I can help you deal with post-traumatic stress, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, eating disorders, relationship problems, post-addiction and mild forms of depression.

I work in private practise with self-referred clients and I have also worked with victims of crime, abuse, rape and sexual assault and domestic violence.  I mentor for women in prison on a voluntary basis.

I work on a one to one with individuals, but I will work with couples where both parties enter into counselling voluntarily.
